Flights on Nordica were previously marketed under the LOT Polish Airlines brand until August 1st. This has since changed, and the small Estonian airline now has its own International Air Transport Association (IATA) code. Let’s take a look at Nordica and what the future holds for the carrier.

Flights with Nordica were purchased through other companies’ ticket sales systems before it got its own IATA code. One of the main partners in this practice was LOT Polish Airlines, which used Nordica’s CRJ-900s to operate as LOT flights.
Passengers can now book through Nordica’s own sales platform, which went live on August 1st. Deepak Ahluwalia, Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his excitement for the new independence in a statement: “Fully breaking away from LOT Polish Airlines and ensuring we have the capacity we need to operate independently are developments that have occurred over the last year or so.”
Nordica was never hiding the fact that it was using other airlines’ ticketing systems and outsourcing flight operations to other companies, according to Ahluwalia.
Nordica’s first regularly scheduled service.
Nordica’s first regular series of flights, operated under its own name, is a shuttle service that travels between Gällivare, Arvidjaur, and Stockholm (Arlanda) in Sweden. This is a route that the airline won through a public procurement process in Sweden.
One of Nordica’s Bombardier-built CRJ-900s will operate this service, with the following flight numbers:
- Gallivare-Arvidsjaur: ND815
- Arvidsjaur-Stockholm Arlanda: ND815
- Stockholm Arlanda-Arvidsjaur: ND816
- Arvidsjaur-Gallivare: ND811
