What is multi crew cooperation (MCC) and jet orientation course (JOC)?
Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) is an allowance and additional training need for commercial pilots who wish to fly in a crew, that is, in a multi-pilot aircraft with at least two members of the aircrew.

MCC + JOC Course Description & Informations
One of the most significant courses for your airline pilot interview is Multi Crew Cooperation. During your basic training and commercial pilot course, you will learn how to fly in single-pilot operation, either VFR or IFR, but the MCC course will educate you how to execute the tasks of a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft. Introduction to the multi-crew concept, crew cooperation and coordination, precise cockpit communication, clear workload distribution, crosschecks, flight monitoring, call-outs and briefings, as well as the proper use of checklists and special actions in emergency situations are among the course’s learning objectives.
The focus of the training is on developing non-technical abilities that may be used to working in a multi-crew situation. The MCC course also gives students the chance to practice the skills needed to be great team leaders and members. This is accomplished through training exercises in which applicants take on the roles of pilot flying (PF) and pilot not flying or monitoring (PNF) crew members.
The MCC course must be completed in pairs and includes a theoretical component as well as 20 hours of simulator training with 10 hours of PF and 10 hours of PNF time. This training takes about 2-3 weeks to complete.
Reciprocating or turbofan engines, there is a significant difference not only in the aircraft’s technical structure, but also in its operation principles. While most airlines demand the MCC, some also require the Jet Orientation Course. JOC will assist you in learning the fundamentals of jet engine operation, high-altitude aerodynamics, and typical jet aircraft systems. JOC is a wonderful way to expand your simulator experience earned in an airline environment, in addition to the basic part of the training. The course is divided into two parts: theoretical instruction and a 10-hour simulator exercise conducted solely on the Airbus A320 FNPT II. This course, like the MCC, must be completed in pairs. This course takes about 1-2 weeks to finish.

ICAO Aviation English level 4 or higher or English Proficiency endorsement in the license
Valid EASA medical class 1
Valid EASA CPL license with valid MEP and ME IR rating
Total Flight Time Minimum of 150 hours
Pilot in Command Time Minimum of 50 hours
Minimum of 9 multi-engine aircraft hours
MCC + JOC Combine Flight Training
If you need both the MCC and the JOC on an Airbus A320 FNPT II, this is the best option. This course combines the benefits of the MCC and JOC stand-alone courses while saving you a significant amount of time. When you take the two courses together, you’ll be able to hone your professional pilot skills and familiarize yourself with all of the necessary steps to a job in the airline industry.
The MCC-JOC training involves 28 simulator hours that are split between the two pilots as PF and PNF time and is completed entirely on the Airbus A320 FNPT II. The combined course takes about 3-5 weeks to complete.
